Dear Mums,

If you share my frustration finding a good school for your dear ones and live near by Fulham borough, this could be the answer to our problems.

A new initiative to set up a Bilingual English Spanish Free School is being launch to gather support of local interested parents. It is a free school = free = no fees. Will be run by King's Group - a network of bilingual english-spanish schools in Spain with 40years experience and over 3.500 kids yearly on their program.
They will follow UK curriculum with classes both in english and spanish by native teachers. Will start as a primary in Sept 2015 and will follow with secondary right after. Plan is to start with reception, year 1 & year 2 classes and will have more years if demand is there.

They are already approved by Department for Education of London to open local free schools. Now they just need to prove there is local demand for this concept.

The more we are, the bigger our chances it opens in 2015!!!!!!
Join me and others, we are already more than 100 parents sign it in just couple of weeks.

Hello, would anyone know if there has been any positive news on this? Given that need to sign up for different schools soon, I wondered how likely it is that they can manage to open within a year.. Thanks a lot!

A brief update on the above:
Unfortunately, the DoE rejected the bid. They liked the proposal but there are apparently enough places in good schools in the area already. Really disappointed with the logic - perhaps if the local state schools were better and provided more foreign language teaching, they would not have issues with empty places.
