New cafes for Wandsworth Common and Battersea Park

The Common Ground Café in Wandsworth Common has just been sold and is going to be reborn as the 'Skylark' - apart from a very thorough clean Grin, it's getting new décor and an exciting new menu. The new owners are BTC parents so should know their market well.

Battersea Park is also getting a new café too - on the site of the old One O'clock Club. It's being set up by the people behind Putt in the Park in Wandsworth Park. They say it is still in the planning stages but they promise us it will be very child friendly. Ideas on the drawing board include: a wood burning pizza oven for fresh pizza, cosy area with sofas, outside seating with play area for toddlers and a putting area similar to the one at Wandsworth Park. They are hoping to have it open sometime in the Summer.

About time the Common Ground got a revamp - it's so grimy but in such a handy location that people overlook it. Hope they employ a few more staff too. The service is usually snail placed and grumpy.

The pizzas at Battersea Park are going to have to be pretty special to make me forgive them from changing it from a One O'clock Club Hmm but mini golf would be good.
