Kidderminster pre school recommendations

My husband, son and I are moving to Kidderminster (all going well) around June time. I am trying to find some pre-schools in the area, and was wondering if anyone could recommend anywhere? My son is 3 years old and currently attends a pre school here which he loves.

He will be starting primary school in sept 2015 as he has a late birthday. We are moving into Sutton Park road, I don't know if that helps. I am happy to drive him to a preschool if its a good one, although I wouldn't want a stupidly long commute.

I can't remember whether Sutton Park itself has a pre-school, but I am the Nursery Teacher at Bewdley Primary School which is not far from Sutton Park Road. It would take less than 10 minutes by car. I'd be really happy to show you round my Nursery to see what you think. The other schools in the area are St Johns & Birchen Coppice I think.

Are you looking for a pre-school attached to a primary school, or would you like suggestions for private daycare nurseries too?

Hi MarmiteEater thanks for the reply - I am mostly looking for something that offers the best structure and environment, so either would be ok. we currently live in swindon so the move for us is a big one! It would be great to have a look around Bewdley primary school and the nursery, Would it be best to make a call to the school and arrange a viewing?

Hi Penfold. Swindon to Kidderminster is a very big move! Is your job moving? It would be good to meet you. The best thing is to give the school a ring and one of the secretaries will find a time that suits you to show you round the school and nursery. When you phone, mention that you would like to see both. The school number is 01299 403796. I work every day except Wednesday.

As in every area, there is a wide variety of settings in and around Kidderminster. We often have children who have previously attended Deerhurst, Church House and Mayfield House nurseries which are all private daycare settings in Kidderminster which you may want to check out, depending on what sort of setting you're looking for.

Brill thanks Marmiteeater, I'm currently a stay at home mum and my husband works between London & San fransisco but works from home 3 days a week when he's not travelling. We are moving as we wanted a bigger place plus my husbands family are up that way. Will definitely give the school a call at some point to come and have a look. Hi penfold. My eldest son went to church house day nursery which is very near to Sutton park road. It was an excellent pre school then but that was almost 6 years ago, although I think it's still good now my next door neighbours dd goes there.

Our ds2 won't be going there unfortunately because he's starting preschool at St Catherines primary school, marlpool lane, but only because that's where ds1 attends school, and it'll make my life easier if they're both in the same location.
Let us know when you have settled in. We could organise a mini meet perhaps.

My daughter went to Mayfield House Kindergarten on Marpool Lane in Kidderminster and its fantastic. St Catherine's is on the same road and my friends son goes there and my friends is a teaching assistant there and its also very good. Hope that helps a bit. Message me back if you want more info. Another friend has kids at Franche school and is happy with there too. Lots of options!
