I've read last year's reviews of ODN (sad stuff) and I'm wondering if anyone out there has anything to say about it now? Thinking about placing my 10-month-old there because I need to find somewhere at short notice.

Update: visited, met the new manager, got clear answers to my questions re: the Jan 2013 Ofsted inspection, and was delighted to hear that they got good news from their most recent Ofsted report (still to be published). Great news for their staff as well as parents. Congrats.

I have just dropped my daughter off for her last day at Orange (we're moving away) and have shed tears! She has had such a happy time there, been well looked after by the lovely, caring and attentive staff - from her key worker to the cooks and managers. They all know her and she loves every one of them. She took such a long time to settle as she joined right at the age that separation anxiety begins to kick in for babies but they are so kind , gentle and patient and it paid off. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Orange to parents looking for good quality childcare in this area.
Having worked in primary schools as a teacher for 13 years I've been through many Ofsted inspections myself and know all too well how misleading the reports can be. I kept my daughter on the waiting list at Orange throughout the difficult time for them and I am so glad I did. They now have a Good rating but in my personal view and the view of my husband and daughter they are Outstanding! Many many thanks to everyone there for making her time there so special! Xx

Now that Baby Boy has been at Orange for 3 months (p/t) I couldn't agree more, CDeacon79. Thanks so much for sharing your positive experience. I have been blown away by the warmth and professionalism of the Orange team responsible for the babies and youngest toddlers, and as a first-time mum I have learned a great deal from them. The facilities are considerably better than many other nurseries I looked at and that, combined with the leadership style and lovely vibe at Orange, means that I'm a fan. I'm now looking to go back to work full-time simply because I know my son is in the very best of hands. Thank you, Orange.
