Moving to Haslmere

Afternoon All,

First time posting on Mumsnet, but from what I've been told it is brilliant!!

We are moving to Haslmere from London in the next few months, I am currently in the middle of Mat leave (8 month old little boy called Harry). We did NCT in London and I meet some wonderful ladies and we are all very close, however when we move I will need to start a fresh, so I am here for some advice really!

Whats Haslmere like with a baby? are there some good groups in walking distance? The house we are looking to buy is at the Shottermill end.
If anyone has any advice on nurseries/day care etc that would be appreciated too.

Many thanks
Gemma

Hello, thanks for posting.

We've shared this link via Twitter (@mumsnetsurrey), so you'll hopefully see feedback shortly.

Good luck with it all Smile

Hello Gemma,

We have recently moved to Haslemere from London and we are enjoying it very much! We have 2 preschool children and they are loving the great outdoors which are on our doorstep.

It is a lovely place to live if you have young children with lots to do locally, many baby and toddler groups, playgrounds etc. There is a new baby cafe with soft play opening in May, it's called the Hen House and I can't wait to try it out! It's located on the High Street, next to Waitrose so very convenient. I think they will offer a range of activities for baby and toddlers, if you look at their Facebook page you will see all the upcoming activities listed.

Maybe we could meet up there once it opens?

Take care and good luck with the move x

I am in Haslemere with my 8 year old daughter there is a lot going on and a lot of things to do with little ones. There is a great play group that runs on Thursdays at a local church that is a lovely place to meet local mums with little ones.
Although my daughter is quite a bit older I am very happy to meet up if you would like.
When are you moving?
