Interior design -worth it?

We are thinking of doing a fairly major redesign of our first floor - moving bathrooms, putting in doors, etc. Would mean nearly every room being affected. Do people have any experience of hiring a project manager/interior designer? Is it worth it? Do you save the money in the long run on a big project from their trade discounts, etc?

Any recommendations?

The result will be slicker with a designer and this will reflect in an increased price if you need to sell or rent your place out. We used a designer for our rebuild, she covered much of her cost by her discounts with various suppliers. We get loads of compliments on the place now whereas before when we picked the stuff we got zero ;-)

Hi there, I am in Interior Designer living in the teddington area and I work in partnership with a Project Manager. We have a small consultancy business where we offer Interior Design advice and Project Management Services for an economical fee. We are both mums ourselves and we know what it can be like to fit other projects around small children! If you would like to get some advice or some direction of where to start we offer our first consolation meeting for free. Please get in touch via my email at tiffany [email protected] or respond to my message. We look forward to hearing from you! Best Regards, Tiffany Ring
