I'd like to alert Mumsnet members to the Keep Family Friendly Swimming in West Bridgford Campaign, which has been started by three "grandmums"! The wonderful child-friendly pool at Rushcliffe Leisure Centre is to be closed, and a new pool built on a different site. However the new pool will be a rectangular lane swimming pool, with none of the features that makes the current pool so good for, and popular with, children and families. We have a petition, and a facebook page, and would welcome involvement and help from other people in the area. so if you would like to know more, or to become involved, please reply to this post.
