Just what it says really. Its probably a medium to highish value case. Any recommendations? And have you had any experience with these people?

I've had no personal experience of this company - but they are always tweeting their blog - which I've read and thought had very practical and useful advic - so might be a place to start?

cflp

Hopefully someone will be along with first hand advice for you. Good luck.

I've heard good reviews of cflp so I will definitely look into them further. Any further recommendations welcome too.

What kind of lawyer do you want and what do you want to pay? There are the posh and expensive (M+R especially Roger Bamber) but he is very good, and the more down to earth, Ian Pattinson at Birketts, Jackie Wells and Taylor Vinters but still not exactly cheap, then there are more day to day but good at their job?

piggywiggy111 · 18/03/2014 19:05

Not the posh and expensive, probably more mid range. Not keen on using M&R or Taylor Vinters due to cost (I have been told that they are the most expensive in Cambridge). Would Ian Pattinson be much cheaper? I've heard his name crop up a few times and cflp seem to come highly recommended.

Phone up to ask about costs. Also try Barr elison, I can't remember the name, and then try and talk to the lawyer and see who you like. Personally I would like someone who was very transparent about cost rather than cheap as chips at first instance, but trust you instinct when you talk to them.

thanks Thereonthestair, I'm with you on wanting someone who is transparent about costs, rather than cheap as chips.

the name you are thinking of at Barr Ellison is probably Marion tucker, who I have also heard is good.

Yes that's the woman. Hope you find someone you like.

You could try Fiona McLeman (google her). She used to be at both M&R and then Taylor Vinters but then set up on her own and she is very good, very experienced and very sensible. She is also very transparent on costs.
