Hi, I wondered if anyone could help. We are considering one of these two schools for my 3 yr old son. We liked both, Kings has great facilities, ofsted says the teaching is excellent and we were impressed with examples of the pupils work but I worry I am being seduced by flashy facilities. St Josephs looks like it hasn't been updated in 30yrs but friendly, happy kids. About 60% of them get into grammar school, which I would hope would be the case for my son although a long way off. Does anyone have any views on either school. I would appreciate any info.

My best friend went through St Joseph's Convent and then went to Kings in Rochester. She passed the 11+ and got into grammar schools but it was always their parents plan to put them into Kings Rochester. I know she had a fantastic time and absolutley loved it at Kings. The opportunities she had were amazing (compared to the Grammar school I went to) but also I was quite glad I didn't have to go to school on a Saturday! If I could afford it I would have no reservations about putting my children into Kings Rochester.

Hi, so which did you decide on in the end? My son just started at King's in September...so far so good.
