Meet-up for Derby (ish) people

Hi all,

Just to introduce myself, I'm the new local ambassador for the area.

I'm a SAHM to a DD (6 yrs old) and DS (3yrs old).

I'm happy to organise daytime or evening meet-ups so that I can involve as many people as possible. Daytime meet-ups will be as child friendly as possible as I will have DS with me until he starts pre-school.

Let me know if you have any preferences over meetings. I'll set a date for the first one soon. Look forward to meeting you.

Afternoons are better for us, but otherwise quite flexible.

Alvaston Park has a cafe and meeting rooms that could be used as does the Arboretum. I would suggest the Quad as a more central meeting location, but after last night it might be difficult for those driving in for a while.

We know Mad Hatters at Alvaston park quite well! Lovely cakes and DD is at Lakeside school so v close.

We've had a couple of meet-ups at the Quad, it's quite central so a good location. Not huge amounts to keep little ones busy though. I'm going to check out the cafe at Deda as it appears to have an area with toys so that might work.

Hopefully we'll get a bit more interest and I can sort a date out.

Been thinking, and how about we arrange to meet at a softplay that is pretty central. That way, if noone else turns up, you dont feel quite so sad! I dont mind organising. Let me know thoughts.

Anyone want to meet this Wednesday 13/05/15 at Jangala softplay in Hilton. There's a few others who might be interested in coming along.

Hi Ladies,I am relocating to Derby next year with my 3 kids ,my DH is already living in Belper so we visit sometimes,I want to prepare myself and meet new friends, and also to make the transition easier for my children as well as I am a little worried on settling in new area.We are from Scotland ,We will be visiting at September weekend and I am available on the 25th or 28th of September if anyone is interested to meet up with or without kids,thanks so much.
