  1. Best thing about the area- very easy to get out of (as long as you avoid M5)
  2. Best child friendly cafe- Manic Organic (in a sling, or once past buggy stage)
  3. Best child free night out - not sure what one of those is!
  4. Best outside space- Birmingham Botanical Gardens, fantastic for small children, can let them off the leash safely with no cars no dogs. Clent Hills (B60) comes pretty close too.
  5. Best hidden gem - The Pugin RC Cathedral maybe? not sure what is meant by this question... My House? Grin
  6. Best community venue- MAC
  7. Best free visitor attraction - BMAG, new library (Nature centre isn't free!!)
  8. Best day out - Severn Valley Railway
  9. Best place to shop - depends what one's buying! I like the independent shops around Kings Heath and Moseley, but not much use if one needs a new vacuum Wink

Totally right about nature centre but is free for under 4s and very cheap for what you get.

KingsHeathen · 14/03/2014 23:12

I agree, it's a complete bargain!

Great place to see "pike-u-porns" too Wink

Thanks, people! Brilliant to get some other perspectives. Will get some of those in… (but not Kingsheathen's first answer Shock! I'm sure it's meant to be a feel-good piece!)
