Where to park in Nottingham?

Just moved to the Nottinghamshire area. I've been to Nottingham once but used the park and ride (which was great, but not much good if you want to carry lots of shopping). Dh made another trip and managed to scratch the paintwork on the car (said he picked a carpark which had ridiculously tight bends, but he can't remember which one it was - possibly the Lace Market?).

Can those of you with local knowledge tell me where's a good place to park? I have no sense of direction and am rubbish at parking, so the easier the better. Blush I would be coming in from the South (A60).

We park in the Victoria centre car park! It works for us.

Is that the shopping centre with John Lewis?

I would use Broadmarsh or Trinity square. They are less popular too so no driving around looking for spaces.
