A few years ago when we had a major bathroom renovation we went with a builder recommended by friends. They were ok but there were issues and as our property is Victorian we needed a lot done. This time when we needed to rip the kitchen out and also strip a dinning room, living room, hall way and 3 bedrooms back to brick then completely wire, plaster put in a new kitchen, boiler, heating etc we were very torn on going with recommendations from friends or not. We decided to take a risk and found a few builders/ decorators on websites with good reviews that quoted. We liked one and the price was right. It was a risk but now having the works completely finished and being able to enjoy our home again I'm so happy we took the risk and feel blessed we found such a great team. I'm sad I cant think of anything else to get them to do and they have had to finish.
Anyway just felt like sharing a positive local experience and so pleased that our internet punt paid off
