Hi all,
we have just visited the Busy Bees nursery in Letchworth and are thinking of signing DD there once we relocate to the area. Can anyone share good/bad experiences about this nursery?
With her previous one we went by parents' recommendation but we do not know anyone in Letchworth /Hitchin so feeling a bit out of control...after all the visit only lasted 1ha nd they were expecting us.....no kids seemed distressed or unhappy, so we left with a good feeling...
Thanks

Hi again azurro! I'm not stalking you... Honest! My friend' s little girl goes there and has done for over a year. As far as I know her lo is very happy there and really enjoys it. I have never heard anything negative.

Not the same nursery, but my older two went to a Busy Bees in Greenwich when we lived in London, and we were very happy with the way the nursery was run - it was a great nursery.

Hi Azzurro

Don't know if its too late, but Busy Bees in Letchworth tended to be the nursery of choice with my friends who were working when our eldests were under 5. Have a couple of friends who still use it for their littler ones but the older ones are at school now. I know there was the odd gripe - as there always is I guess - but overall I think people were very happy with it. If you wanted to contact people who are using it now, PM me and I will see whether they would be happy to be contacted.

Best wishes
Milco

I'm thinking of choosing Busy Bees in Letchworth. As well as liking the nursery it has the added advantage of being near the station as DH and I are commuters. Does anyone know if it has any parking near by? All the local streets seem to be permit / double yellows. Is the Spirella available for parking in?

Hello,

My son has been going to BusyBees Letchworth since he was 8 months - he's 3.5 now. He absolutely loves it.

I'll say I've mostly liked it but have had a few misgivings as he's got older and there have been a few staff changes, but on the whole they look after the tinies very well, they have a huge range of activities, eat relatively well, etc, and the prices have come down recently (if you do a full week).

You used to be able to park at the nursery and leave the car for the day but too many people did it so you can't any more. I don't think you can park at Spirella unfortunately, it's pretty full with the businesses there. I'm not sure where you can go for long-stay, I've never had to try it since they changed the car park rules.

It is really convenient that it's by the station though - very easy to drop off and run around in five mins if you don't have the car to worry about (you can walk through the Spirella car park to get there).
