Hi all,

I am your new local editor and wanted to introduce myself. We will be developing the site over the next weeks and months to make it much more active.

We will be adding to the listings to make them much more comprehensive but if you know of anything going on in your local area, or anything that others may want to know about then please add it to the listings.

We are also looking for more Local Ambassadors to volunteer to organise local meet-ups. If you are interested then please send us a message.

We will be increasing our presence on social media so like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter @MumsnetGlos.

Please drop by and say hello. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hello and welcome new editor!

I look forward to seeing a new burst of enthusiasm from the Gloucestershire mums (well, you can always hope...).

The Stroud/Ciren area seems to be the only one to have had any meet up yet - there was talk of another - maybe that could happen once this awful weather is over.

LocalEditorGloucestershire · 15/02/2014 21:48

Hello and thank you. A burst of enthusiasm would be wonderful!

I have spoken to our Local Ambassador and we are looking to organise another meet up in the near future. Which area were you wanting to have a meet up in?

Cirencester would be nice:)
Is there a knitting shop there?:)

Or in a naice pub with free parking. Always happy to make up a username and join in:)

LocalEditorGloucestershire · 16/02/2014 10:42

Hello! There is a knitting shop called Three Sheep Wools in the Wool Market. They run quite a few groups there.

I'll have a think about pubs. Has anyone got a good recommendation?

Let's rally the troops and have a meet up.

Hello

I'm here! Well only virtually at the moment. We are relocating to Stroud from London soon and I'm keen to meet new friends in the area. I've got lots of enthusiasm. Oh goodness that makes me sound abit weird!

There are 3 wool shops in Stroud
It's almost worth moving there just for that reason.Grin

souperbly · 09/04/2014 20:59

I'll come knitting in Cirencester. Or to a pub. Or knitting in a pub...

LocalEditorGloucestershire · 09/04/2014 21:30

So knitting, pub or both in either Cirencester or Stroud sounds good. Welcome Shazza, when are you moving to Stroud?

Hi. We are currently house hunting. Sadly we found and lost one place so it's back to the drawing board. I'm here for a couple of days actually. If we find somewhere we have to sell our flat and then move. I'm hoping to be here by the end of the summer.

I love crochet. Am yarn mad Smile

Bananasandnutella · 15/04/2014 20:05

I'm here. I don't knit, but can I join in with the pub? Or cafe even?

TheCommonWoMan · 16/04/2014 13:09

Banana - have you spotted the cafe meetup coming up in a couple of weeks?
More details here

Bananasandnutella · 16/04/2014 13:52

I did and it would have been perfect but I am working that day Hmm

Shazzamattazzerly · 24/09/2014 12:42

Hello everyone

I've moved now and wondered of you are still arranging meet ups? I'm also still keen to pick up my crochet hooks so could be up for a knitting circle.

TheCommonWoMan · 03/10/2014 15:20

Might be worth posting on the 'Meetups' thread Shazz and see if you can get any interest that way.
