Was it the Wandle breaching its banks that caused some flooding down Mitcham way at the weekend? It's getting ever more angry and swollen- looking and I'm not sure I've ever seen it so high since the great Summer flood of 2006/2007 (can't remember which one it was now) when the pub (now the Istanbul on Colliers Wood High Street) was semi-submerged.....
Worrying especially as more heavy rain is scheduled for Wednesday....
