Mum needing interaction!

So I know I shouldn't but I do feel silly for writting this, I moved out this way for my fiance from Norwich (not far i know!) but i have literally no friends out this way...I was wondering if any mums out there would like to meet up or visit one another for a chat etc...I get really low about the fact i have no one out this way.

I live in North Walsham, just past Sainsburys, have a beautiful 13 month old daughter and am expecting our baby #2 so can't really pop to the pub haha! I love my daughter i do but theres only so much talking to a 13 month old till you start to feel a little odd :P

Even if its chatting via skype etc some adult interaction would be nice :)

Hi Allyce- not local as live in Great Yarmouth, but know what you mean about interaction! My son is 2 and a bit and there is nobody I know with kiddies his age!
If you ever wanted to chat/email, let me know- would be nice to have some like minded company!

i know just how u feel :( i moved here just before my lb was born and i have no friends here, hes 10 months now, and i go to all these baby groups but no one ever really talks to me :( i get very lonely, and find myself just counting down days till my husband is off work again :(

Rosy and Allyce Have you PMed each other? Even if you cannot meet up that often you sound like you have something in common and that's a start . I have contacted some Norwich based Mums for you rosy and I'm sure they'll respond soon.

Rosy27 - glad i am not the only one :) its horrible and people say "oh just talk to people at groups!" I do but most of them won't push for further conversation or make me (personally) feel like i am being a nuisance for trying to get more of a social life and wanting more friends who aren't particularly bothered about getting drunk :( also doesn't help i'm not overly confident.

Lijkk - Yeah I am still in NW my issue i have as well is i work tuesday, wednesday and thursdays :(

Hi Rosy If you look at the blue bare with Allyces name on it you'll see a 'message poster' on it. Click on that and you'll be able to send her a message.

North Walsham library was heaving (literally I thought they'd have to turn people away) this morning with parents attending a bounce & rhyme session, runs Mondays in term time 10-11am. Perfect for under 2s.

I must get more library events listed wears away fingerprints typing so much

I was in pretty much the same situation as you, when I was pregnant I moved from Norwich to North Walsham where we lived up until last year. We're now in Sheringham, which isn't too far from you :).
So if you fancy a chat or would like to find out more about what they've got on offer for mums and little ones in NW, let me know :).

Hi, sorry to butt in on your thread but I'm also new to the area and would love to meet more mums etc. I've moved from West Sussex and used to meet up with ladies from my local NCT group but I can't find much up here. I'm currently living between cromer and sheringham and I have a 2 year old son. I'd love to meet up but I work full time. Sorry again for butting in! Sam xxx

it is lovely to see the talk boards starting to be used. It has been a long old slog getting Mumsnet Norfolk better known in the county.
