Friendship?

Hi
Does anyone else find motherhood lonely sometimes?
I adore my 2yr old but would love to make some friends to have grown up chats with!
I'm 38 and just wonder if there are others out there like me who would like to meet up occasionally...not to compare child achievements or social activities, but just to have a coffee and a chuckle with.
I work full time and have to find time to do the housework, but would just like to make some friends as its quite tough to do so.
Thanks for reading my post
:)

Hey, I am trying to organise some days for mums to meet up would you be interested in coming along?

ratqueen · 14/02/2014 17:59

Oh god yes! There is a new Saturday am group for families in Hedge End if you are interested. It is aimed at people who can't get to groups in the week. I think it has been quite popular so far. Have a look at the soton NCT site/facebook page for details. Hope you feel better now. Motherhood is really lonely at times!

The Hedge End Saturday group is my saviour atm! It really is lovely and they thrust a cup of tea at you minutes after walking thought the door.

Hi all, I'm 43 and pregnant with my 2nd after a 17 year gap. It's all so new this time and everything seems different. I would really love to chat/meet up with other mums in Southampton, pregnancy can be a lonely time as all my friends children are grown up and moving onto the next stage of their lives. So if you would like to chat or meet up that would be great.I have had post-natal depression and have worked in education of troubled/challenging teens for 14 years so don't think much phases me anymore.Feel free to ask me anything.Wishing you all happiness.
