Solihull/Olton/Sheldon Meet Ups or Playdates

Hi There

I am looking for meet ups or playdates for my DS2 who is aged 2 years. I work full time and during office hours, so we never get to attend any toddler groups. My parents look after him whilst I work and aside from a cousin and an acquaintance that live miles away, we don't know anyone with young kids and he is getting to an age now where it would be good for him to have a few little friends.

Like I say, due to working full time, I can only manage week ends and when the spring/kicks in, maybe some evenings (from 5-7pm for example).

Anyway, if you are looking for something similar and fancy a natter whilst the kids play then let me know x

I am a mum of two. My son is 2 and a half and my daughter is 4. We just moved to Olton from Chicago 3 weeks ago as my husband was relocated. I am originally from Ireland so it is nice to be closer to home for a while :-) I am very interested in meeting new mums out there and friends for my children. I am a stay at home mum but would be more than willing to meet at you and your son weekends and evenings. Maybe we could arrange a playdate? Look forward to hearing from you!!

Hi Becky. Bumping this for you as well! Looks like there are quite a few new Olton resident's with babies. I have just replied to a lady who is considering a move to Olton too. Do you have any advice for her? I don't really know that side of Solihull as I am over Shirley way.

Just found this group by accident. I'm on the committee of the local pre-school at St Margaret's Church as have a nearly 3 year old that attends and a 4 year old that attended. They have a stay and play group there every Tuesday 1pm till 2.30pm. I don't personally go to this but know people that do and its a great place to meet other people local to the area.

Clareannap, the pre-school takes children from the age of 2 if that would be something that would interest you although fully booked now until the September term.

There are plenty of things to go to I suppose its just a case of finding them. The library used to do story time on a Friday which I used to think was good. Also Tiny Terrorz just down the road has a toddler morning and although not sure what they are like now there used to be a few sure start centres that had various activities going on. I made loads of friends at them with my youngest, and its great getting out talking to other mom's.
