outdoorsy adventures.... anyone keen?????

Hiya, I'm kind of thinking this is maybe a bit of a long shot but any mums out there into surfing and interested in getting together to get to know each other in preparation for some surf&play beach trips come Spring??? :) I'm 38, have a (nearly) 11 month old daughter, & we live not far from Truro.... I am also a keen hiker & biker (am looking to get a bike seat for the wee one as well pretty soon) and up for most other out doorsy stuff if anyone has any other ideas! Anyone keen I would love to hear from you??????! Thanks! :)

I'm new to mumsnet, but Im in. I'm 35 with a 16 yr old and a 3 yr old love going to the beach and going out on the bikes ....and coffee and wine lol x

Sorry I missed these posts!! Thought I would get some kind of notification or something & just assumed noone had responded....! Anyway, Kitchen fairy - no, not registered for meet ups I don't think? No idea how to do it but will look into.... But where are you guys based??? It's not exactly inviting out at the mo I know but at least we could get acquainted/organised for when it finally starts to pick up!! ( I've got a pretty good feeling about the weather this year, although I could just be being optimistic...! :) )

Where are you all? Is Truro central enough? I run the Truro meets but we have had a quiet year... Rubbish weather and all that but there is definitely interest in a wine-based meet up... Could be ideal to figure out and swap ideas of some outdoorsy stuff.

Hi I have an 18month old and we love doing outdoors things, I have a backpack carrier for him and a seat for my bike so we are always outdoors with our dog. We live in Newquay but I can drive and fit the bike in the boot x

this is looking good... I will pop over and get another meet up going tonight, maybe during Easter hols is a good time?

Had almost forgotten about this post but great that there are a few folk keen on outdoorsy stuff! Sadly - for me! - I can't do nights (my guy works evenings so have to be home with the wee one) but hope everyone has fun (& a bevvy or two for me!) At the tapas bar, & meanwhile I'll keep my eyes peeled for any daytime outdoor type meet ups on the horizon..... Summer is soooooo close, you can almost smell it! Which ways the beach?!? :) cheers all....!

Yep I'd be keen for a beach meet up, esp as we've since moved from Truro to newquay! Have a car though so can also move left or right for different beach action as and when. Just worked out the 'watch thread' feature on here (only taken me 18 months of MNing but I got there) so will watch this conversation more closely from now on.... Not wanting to be an Eeyore but summers more than half way through already!!! :O

Hello, we are an outdoorsy duo, my (newly turned) 4 year old and I. We live so close the camel trail so always looking for company for an afternoon/weekend cycle. Beach (even in Jan), forest walks, always out and about. Would live to get to know a few more outdoorsy people!
