recorder teacher in East Devon?

Hello,
Just wondering if anyone could recommend a recorder teacher in the East Devon area? DS1 has just done his Grade 1 and would like to continue, but due to other commitments we are unfortunately losing his current teacher in Feb. (Music lessons at school sadly not an option.) Thanks in advance!

Hi maniacbug, Sorry that no-one got back in touch about this. Looks like our current Mumsnetters can't help - but I will put a message on Twitter in the hope I might be able to get some info for you.

What age is your ds? What about contacting a secondary school locally with a good music dept and seeing what they recommend?

No problem LED, I don't check the local boards as often as I should myself! (Trouble is we're a bit too far from Exeter for most of the posts to be directly relevant to me/us, and 'Devon' covers such a huge catchment...) Thanks v. much for the Twitter suggestion, that's really kind of you.
He's 9, Pinhoe + that's a good idea. His music teacher taught at one of the local secondaries too, which is where he took the exam, so she's enquiring through them + our head teacher is also investigating the possibility of getting someone to come out - and drumming up a few extra pupils to make it worth their while. It's such a shame, as he struggles in a few areas and recorder is the first thing he's ever shown real enthusiasm (and natural talent) for. I remember it was pretty standard for everyone at my primary (early 80s) to learn recorder. Sad that it's not offered as standard any more... at least not in our little school.
Thanks for the responses!
