New to Stevenage

Hi everyone! Just thought I'd pop a post on here as I'm going to be moving to Stevenage (Shephall area) on 6th February and I don't know anyone locally, other than my hubby - so am feeling a bit daunted! I'm currently a full time mum to my 10-month-old son Benjamin, so was wondering if anyone out there either knows of good places locally to meet other mums and babies, or might fancy meeting up at all? Thanks

Hi LadyR1, I moved to Stevenage from Watford with my baby girl two years ago so I know how you are feeling! I'm slow to get settled and make friends & am still finding my way around but I have found some good things you can do with your little boy. There is a great mum & baby group in Tewin Village Hall (nr WGC) on Wednesday mornings which is very friendly and fun, we also went to Jumping Joeys in Knebworth for a while which my little girl enjoyed. In Stevenage itself go to the Broadwater Childrens Centre in Oaks Cross for loads of advice and info, and once he's walking you can try Partyman in Roaring Meg or Woody's playbarn, near Ware for softplay fun.
