My DH is keen to move out of the city to Milltimber. The kids are at private school in the city, so I will be driving in and out, twice a day, every day. I don't like driving!
Can anyone tell me how bad or ok the commute actually is? I guess afternoon would be ok, but more worried about the morning

Also - I feel we won't know anyone else there- is Milltimber a good place to live? It does look lovely..
Thanks

Milltimber is nice but I think you would need to leave a lot earlier than you do now in the morning to get past the traffic. Which area are you heading to in the morning. RGC have pickup points for buses. Another point to bare in mind, if you do move out to Milltimber, taxis are very expensive.

Also, there are no shops in Milltimber. We rented there for a few moths when we first came to Aberdeen, but bought in Cults as it has shops and cafes to cover everyday needs.

Thanks. Only going as far as Albyn, so not right into town. I think might still need to leave around 8am since they start at 8.40am.
The no shops issue has crossed my mind. My problem is I'll get influenced by his enthusiasm, and it would be nice to have more space. But had also thought Cults could be a compromise.

Milltimber woukd be ideal for games. I am very close to someone from Albyn teaching staff becoming part of our family.
