Women in technology network?

Hi Cambridge MN :)

I'm thinking of setting up a women in technology network in Cambridge, and wondering if anyone here is interested? I think it'd be great to have an informal way to meet other women in technology working in Cambridge.

My username is also my twitter name, if you want to get in touch but stay anonymous on here!

I'd definitely be interested! Smile

There are a few of these around and there's a market. I'm a professional, so advise tech, not in tech, and get some invites to some things via linked in. The market can be diverse so be careful who you are aiming at.

Hi! Thanks for the replies :)

Cambridge has lots of tech meetups, and there's AWISE who do a lot of careers stuff for women in the STEM subjects, so I don't want to overlap with them. The university do a lot of 'women in...' events, but they're primarily aimed at those inside the university. I'd like to see something technology-focused for the women who work in or around technical roles, whether that's in industry or academia.

I've had a fair bit of interest, so now chasing people up and will let you know!

I'd be interested too, especially if it's focussed on tech rather than science.

Hi! Just wanted to let you know that someone else had the same idea, and organised something for next Thurs 30th at the university centre (by the Mill Pond):

Will be there if I can sort out childcare!
