My dh and I are having to relocate to Manchester with our ds who will be 6. I have never been to Manchester and know nothing of the area at all. Looking at houses online we have seen a few in the north area of Hyde, in particular around the Bradley Green primary school area - sk14. Looks to be close to Dukinsfield but still Hyde. Would this be considered as a good family area, looking to stay where there are other families and kids can play outside without over worrying. Can anyone recommend anywhere like this at all?

I have had a look at other similar questions but none mention Hyde and now I am concerned it's not as nice as it looks. We will of course be doing all the usual Friday/Saturday drive by checks and daytime checks but want to know where we should consider. We currently live in a semi rural area in west of Scotland for commuting to glasgow

Hello, I grew up in hyde. The area is ok - I have friends that still live there but the gee-cross area of hyde is nicer (in my opinion) that the newton area. There are some nice new estates popping up there, though. x
