Wedding Bands & Venues Oxfordshire

Hi

I am getting married in Oxfordshire and have been trawling the net for suitable bands. Firstly can you recommend a good wedding venue in Oxfordshire? I do have a reasonable budget but don't want it to be stuffy! Feel a bit overwhelmed with the choice. Also, the music is really important to be, want a really great band to get the party going but nothing too cheesy! Saw an agency called Silver Dog Music on Google and the bands look great, don't know whether anyone had had dealings with them? www.silverdogmusic.co.uk/oxfordshirebands.htm Lastly, anyone know any great wedding caterers in Oxfordshire? Sorry for all the questions, just think it is good to pick local brains for this!

If you're looking for a reception venue, look at the Beetle and Wedge at Moulsford. Delicious food paid on consumption. It's a beautiful setting.

Depends what sort of catering you want, really, but I have to admit that I love the look of Chipping Norton Tea Set if an afternoon tea set-up is something you'd consider. I'll send a tweet out and ask if anyone knows of a good band

It depends on what you're looking for! I had my wedding up north, but had a big party in West Oxon and we had a fabulous swing band who were local to the area.

Wedding venues I've seen include Blenheim Palace (!) and Eynsham Hall. Try this list www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/cms/public-site/approved-venues-civil-ceremonies
