Postnatal illness support group update

Further to my previous thread, I'd like to update Mumsnetters in Exeter/surrounds re: the setting up of a mutual support group for parents suffering from postnatal illness.

I have a chat scheduled on Monday 20th January with a co-ordinator from Rethink Mental Illness to discuss the concept.

This is, at the moment at least, just an idea and as the co-ordinator emphasised to me during a phone conversation, this cannot be done by one person alone. The very nature of postnatal illness means that any facilitators will need support themselves.

I am very keen to get a discussion moving forward with the Rethink co-ordinator re: the group but personal circumstances mean I am not going to be able to commit to the facilitator role and will be discussing other roles I may be able to fulfill should the idea get off the ground.

I appreciate that its just a few days until my meeting with her but I am writing this thread to ask of there are any Mumsnetters out there who would be willing to come onboard with this, even if it just meant feeding in some ideas about how the group might get off the ground.

And, it goes without saying that if anyone out there is able to offer help in setting it up - and helping to run the group, it would be great to hear from you.

Please PM me with any offers/questions

Many thanks
