Ideas for a Birthday party on a Tuesday afternoon?

Trying to organise a small party for my son on a Tuesday afternoon. Does anyone have any ideas? He's going to be 3.

Some of the soft play places only seem to offer weekend slots for birthdays.

I was going to suggest soft play, but I see you have already investigated this. Where abouts in Essex are you? Braintree swimming Pool is good for toddlers. Bowling party? They put up bumpers for little ones, as well as ramps for them to throw/aim. Marsh Farm is always good, but maybe too far away from where you are. Hope it all goes well.

I'm just outside Chelmsford. Thanks for the suggestions - I've given into a weekend party at Creepy Crawlies in South Woodham. At least DP can help me control the chaos!
