I did, still do most of the time. My child slept in bed with me from day one and I was in hospital for a week following a c section.
I only ever put my child in the cot for naps, for obvious reasons.
I would suggest that you get them used to their own bed in due course.

Why ever not, unless you are having sex or are drink, drugged up to the eyeballs or weigh 35 stone!

I know a health visitor who co sleeps with all her kids. Ignore your health visitor it is your choice

Hi there. Think if you take a wider cultural view co-sleeping is the norm and advice here fluctuates? Don't feel you have to stop doing something that you feel is right for your family. Anyway don't most people's younger kids migrate into the big bed during the course of the night at least some of the time?

chestnut mine stay in their beds but they can't open their bedroom doors yet (doorknobs).
