Meet-up!

As the excellent 'Hello' thread might not have been advertising it enough, I thought I'd start a new fred.

Let's have a meet-up! I would love to meet more lovely locals and with a bit of notice I can do a night-out drinking meet or a daytime cafe meet-up.

Who's in?

Howdy! I'd be up for it if it was an evening thing, or possibly in the daytime if I wasn't working that day. It would be nice to meet some new people.

LocalGirlGoneBad · 05/01/2014 22:51

I would need to arrange a sitter but would definitely be up for a meet up. After New Years eve I swore off drinking but could be convinced otherwise Grin

cantsleep29 · 06/01/2014 00:58

I'm supposed to be alcohol free in jan bbut would still be interested in something.

LetMeAtTheTat · 07/01/2014 18:45

How about Jan 24th at the Refectory for cocktails? We've got plenty of choice to move on later if we get kicked out

(Happy to go with other dates/venues)

Silly question but where is the refectory? Blush have only lived in Plymouth for 34 years!

I will need to work out my money and find a babysitter but if I can make it I will.

cantsleep29 · 07/01/2014 23:22

Is that the place in plymouth gin?

LetMeAtTheTat · 08/01/2014 21:17

The Refectory was suggested on the 'Hello' thread and I thought it sounded vair naice and centralish! It is in the distillery. I will try and pre-book as a party beforehand if people are up for it. We could always meet there and head on to another venue.

Warning. I've turned into my mum where drinking is concerned, one drink and I'm a bit tiddly... Wink

It is a little expensive in there but that will (hopefully) stop me from having too much! It took me 2 days to recover from New Years eve!

I think at the moment my mum could probably drink me under the table Grin

LetMeAtTheTat · 08/01/2014 22:26

Well maybe one there and then move on! Ah yes, the two day hangover...

OP posts:
LocalGirlGoneBad · 09/01/2014 20:59

I don't mind staying there for a few as it will, hopefully, mean I drink less.

I am seeing the exPIL at the weekend so will ask if they can have the DDs.

LetMeAtTheTat · 14/01/2014 21:28

Well, I've got my babysitter organised....who else is coming?

LocalGirlGoneBad · 17/01/2014 16:47

Really don't think I can afford it this month. Preschool fees, keyboard tuition and MOT have left me with nothing left! If you meet up in a month or so I will definitely be there!

Agggghhh, I missed this thread somehow - bugger!

Hi There, I represent a new community pub called the Bread and Roses in the centre of Plymouth (Ebrington Street). During the day we operate as a cafe, offering organic tea/coffee, homemade cakes, sandwiches etc. All the food is organic or Fairtrade.

We have loads of space and would like to organise a monthly coffee morning for mums (and carers) to meet-up, with a dedicated area. Keen to hear if this would be of interest and what mums in the area would want in additional facilities e.g. would a craft morning be preferable to a coffee-meet-up? Sorry if this comes across as spam -but we only have one chance to get this right and I want to make sure we can offer what busy mums in the area want and need.

Thanks

Meet-up!
LetMeAtTheTat · 02/03/2014 23:39

All round to yours then Benbread! I'll send you a PM about trying to organise a meet-up and we can start a new thread.

Bread and roses is a fab pub and only a short walk to the barbican after a couple of ciders. I have missed the meetups and not sure I have the nerve to come anyway, (bit old) but I will keep an eye out.

Step away, I'm looking to make new Mum friends in Plymouth, I'm 39 with teenage boys. Message back if interested? Trying to get a small group together. Nothing to intimidating. I'm quite shy.
