LONG ASHTON - what's it like?

Hi All - does anyone here live in Long Ashton?...got a few questions!

1. does it have a nice community feel?
2. is it easy to make friends there - are people friendly - a good 'baby and toddler' scene?!
3. buses into town - how much are they and how long does it take?
4. the new planned housing scheme - is this definitely going ahead and when will they be built? Are people worried about this, and why?!

1. Yes, especially if you have young kids
2. See above, and have a look at the community centre listings, there are quite a few sport/dance /fitness classes that you could do to meet people
3. I think £4 but couldn't be 100% - can take between 20 and 45 mins depending on traffic and time of day. The Park and Ride is much more frequent than normal buses.
4. Don't know. I should read the parish magazine more often :-/
