Family-friendly pubs in Winchester and surrounds

Hi all, I am hoping to meet up with old school chums in Winchester near Christmas and as several now have kids (baby to approx 7yo) we need to find a family-friendly venue. We'd like a bite to eat and something to drink but don't want to be tutted at if the kids run amok.

Any suggestions? I see the Bridge at Alresford and the Cricketers in Alresford mentioned, but anything a bit closer in?

If it's a daytime meet the Mucky Duck is very laid back. I was there on Sunday lunchtime with the family and the food and drink was great, and staff were lovely.

Thank you! We've gone for the King Alfred in Hyde but I shall remember the Mucky Duck for next time!

Can't go wrong with the King Alf, especially if the weather is fine and the little ones can use the play area!
