Hi Genoa,

I live in Falconwood with a young child. Falconwood community centre have a decent range of activities and there is also the choice of going to activities in Eltham, Bexleyheath or Welling - all of which are close by. The Green in falconwood also has a pretty good playground and there are woods nearby as well.

We are also a mixed race family and haven't experienced any trouble in the few years that we've been here. If anything, there is a nice sense of community. This is actually something that we were worried about but there is a pretty good mix in the area anyway.

IMO it's a nice area to bring up a family and has good transport links. The majority of schools have a good Ofsted rating and good results, but it will depend on whereabouts in Falconwood you are looking. It is a grammar school area so there is the option of taking the eleven plus. Otherwise the closest are the harris academy falconwood and crown woods college
