I just felt compelled to start a new thread on this subject because there is a lot of chat about nurseries on Mumsnet.
A new nursery has opened in Raynes Park and it is gorgeous. It is the cute cottage looking one opposite the Shell Petrol station and was the old doctor's surgery. I have a little one who goes and the staff are incredible. All highly qualified. As a parent, what frustrates me is the actual quality of teaching at some nurseries.
Nursery is not suppose to be a "drop off" centre it is a mini-school. This nursery has cracked it and the education programme is fantastic. I cannot believe they have only been open 3 months. My child is always out and about on outings to the library, park, post office - he is only tiny!!
They also have Jiggle & Jam and yoga classes for the children which makes my heart melt.
Anyway just wanted to get a thread going about other people's experiences!
