Free or cheap paper for children's group - Anyone know where I can get some?

I volunteer at a children's group that is part of a charity. We are looking for some place that we can get paper for doing arty activities that won't cost us too much, as basically we don't have much money.

There used to be a place years ago called The Children's Warehouse I think it was based in Newcastle and it had all the paper/card offcuts from factories and you could pay a yearly subscription if you were a charity/children's group.

Does anyone know of anything similar still operating or local factories that might give us their off cuts?

Jenny, I think you should ask local secondary schools, sooo much paper gets recycled all the time!!
