It looks like we are moving to the area and I have been looking at schools in chedworth and bibury. Can anyone help me with what the schools are like and what its like to live in chedworth or in and around bibury?

Its strangely hard to get any reveiws on the Internet! Unless you are a tourist, but I want to know the underbelly, as it were!

They are both very good village schools and send the kids on to a variety of senior schools.

Chedworth and Bibury are very different villages. Do you have a choice of houses? Which village is the easier commute?

What else would you like to know?

Thanks! They both look great schools and I am dithering about it. We will be living nearer chedworth but will buy a house in the area in the summer.

Even if I look round them I won't know which one will be best for the dc- although bibury is smaller and the dc will be in the same class and they have a two year age gap - this makes me think chedworth will suit better but I just don't know.

And is it friendly round there? My dh will be working overseas so I'll be pretty much on my own, and are baby sitters easy to find?

Where are you moving from ( sorry, is that too personal?)
Have you regsitered at either/both schools. If not, it's probably worth doing that to keep your options open. Village schools are not as oversubscribed as Cirencester, but sensible to get in before January.

Yes, it's friendly! Lots of nice things for kids (and you) to do. Babysitting usually easy enough villages... Parish Mag/card in shop still work well in Glos.

It is a bit, I'd hate to be outed:)

I'm glad its friendly there, thanks for the reassurance:)
