Anyone interested in joining a reading group? First get together on Monday 25th November, 11am, at Hampstead Theatre Cafe. Reading Zadie Smith's "NW". Come along if you don't get the chance to finish the book- even if you've only just read the first few pages it would be great to have you join in. Bring baby or toddler, and hopefully between the littl'uns demands for attention we may get the chance to talk about the novel!

Meeting coming up: Monday, 11am, Hampstead Theatre (Swiss Cottage)
Which book will you nominate for next month's read? A favourite you'd happily recommend friends and enjoy re-reading? One that got a good review? Or something off your shelf at home you haven't yet tackled?

Next meeting Thursday, December 19th, 11:30 AM at Hampstead Theatre. The choice of book this month is Stoner by John Williams. This novel is on the shortlist for Waterstones book of the year. Originally published in 1965 it sold only 2000 copies then went out of print. Recently rediscovered, it was described in the New York Times Book Review as 'a perfect novel, so well told and beautifully written, so deeply moving, that it takes your breath away'

We are meeting next on 6th February, at the slightly earlier time of 11am, at Hampstead Theatre Cafe. Get cracking, three weeks to read:
The Marrying of Chani Kaufman by Eve Harris
Another novel based around North London, by a local author, indeed next door neighbour of two of our members!

Lovely turn out on Thursday. Great to share our thoughts about 'Honey' Kaufman. A really interesting discussion and I'm chuffed to meet such a vibrant bunch with plenty of stimulating comments...and delightful babies!
Next meeting is Lionel Shriver's "big brother". Three weeks from our last meet - 27th of February. Shall we say 11am again?
