Any parents in Liberton?

Hi there,

We're currently looking at a house potentially to buy in Liberton where the local primary school would be Craigour Park Primary School. Does anyone have any knowledge/experience of the school or Liberton area in general? We'd be moving from North Edinburgh so it's not an area we know that well, although we can get more for our money there and the neighbourhood seems lovely.

We are in Liberton and Liberton Primary is our catchment school. It is nice enough area with a good mix of housing and close to green spaces with good bus routes into the centre and easy access to the bypass. I like the space but I wish we had a nice local pub (we tend to walk or get the bus to Newington) not that we go out much but we were spoilt when we rented a flat in Morningside (pre DC).
