raising a bilingual child

Hello,

I'm a first-time mum-to-be (35 yrs-old and 16 weeks pregnant) and I'm new to Swindon. I am French and my partner is English and I'd be interested in speaking to mums who speak a foreign language at home or English mums of bilingual babies about raising a bilingual child. Hi, I'm Russian and my husband is English. Our baby boy is almost 2,5 years old. I speak Russian to him and my husband speaks English. He understands both languages really well, but prefers to speak English :) though i try to encourage him to use more Russian words, but I think lots of them are much more difficult to pronounce than English ones :) I'll be happy to talk more :) I'm in Lawn area
