Hi we have just moved onto Wimbledon Parkside. My daughters have started school at a Putney primary. Eldest daughter is in year 4 and we wanted to start prepping her for 11+ tests. Can anyone help with recommendations for a tutor?

I can drive to Putney, Southside or within Wimbledon, tutors are also welcome to teach from my home if they want.

Appreciate any advice as daughter is my eldest and I am completely clueless especially with moving house. Some mums have said I should've started in September!

Hi. We found an excellent tutor through an agency based in Earlsfield - Harrison Allen (www.harrisonallen.co.uk). Too early to tell if it has all paid off (daughter takes exams this month and in Jan '14) but we have been very happy with him so far. We started the tutoring at Easter in Yr 5 as we did not want to push too early or have our daughter under any more pressure than was absolutely necessary, but several contemporaries started at the beginning of year 5. Harrison Allen is run by a local lady who is very knowledgeable, so worth asking them about timing as I am fairly sure they would give you an honest answer, and not one which just gave them more fees! Hope this helps
