Help with maternity hospitals

I am moving to Hampshire around Waterlooville area in the next month, I know nothing about the area. Never lived in the south! Can anyone suggest the best public maternity hospitals? I am only in my first trimester, but classed as a high risk pregnancy due to my age. Any help would be great, thanks

Queen Alexandra (QA) looked after me very well when I had a high risk delivery there. I couldn't fault them. Very impressed.

Hiya I live just north of Waterlooville I went to the QA they are lovely and its only 15 minutes away. your other option is St Richards in chichester which a lot of my friends have gone to instead but it is at least 30 minutes to get there. HTH

Hi, If your pregnancy is low risk then you may also consider The Grange birth centre in Petersfield. This is Midwife led unit.
I personally am biased having been a midwife at St Richards in Chichester for 4 years......it is THE best unit in my opinion (having worked in Portsmouth & other areas) and is well worth the extra travelling time.

My advice would be to book on their tours when you are settled to see for yourself,I know that St Richards has an online tour too so search online.

Best of luck with your move!
