Long Ashton schools and nurseries

Looking for opinions please. We're moving to Long Ashton later this year. I'm visiting both primary schools in a couple of weeks but really want to hear a parents opinion on which school is best/preferred.
Also thoughts on Early Birds nursery.
Or should I be looking further afield - to Flax Burton for school and nursery?

Don't think you would get a place at flax from long Ashton. One of the schools in long Ashton used to have a better ofsted than the other to was more popular don't know if that has changed. Secondary schools are the issue there unless you play on independent.

I don't know Early Birds, but my daughter went to Apple Tree which was really good.

Apple tree have improved since they got a not too brilliant ofsted and are now considered good. David Lloyd at long Ashton and Teddier at bower Ashton are worth considering, both outstanding according to ofsted

Thank you. I was put off by the Apple Trees ofsted so thanks for up to date info! We visit schools tomorrow...

Both are great schools and north Somerset schools generally heaps better than any state school in Bristol. Backwell Infant / Junior get my vote and not far away. Just my opinion! You might want to move nearer Backwell!
