Hope this is where we a supposed to put our reviews!

~ When did you visit and which restaurant did you visit?
We visited Mill Lodge just outside Lincoln on Saturday 12th Oct at 5pm

~ Who were you with?
DH, DS1 (3.9), DS2 (1.9) and myself

~ What did you and your group choose from the menu?
We had the sharing platter between all of us, the dc only ate the garlic bread but that ment there was plenty left for dh and I to eat! DH went for the chicken and ham pie - very nice he said, I had the fish n chips, which was good tho the chips could have been cooked for a little longer (but I do like them crispy). DS1 chose sausage mash and beans, and ds2 had meatballs, garlic bread and peas. DH ate all of his, I left a bit (but only cos I wanted to leave room for pudding) Grin Ds2 didn't like the meat balls (but he can be fussy when he wants to be!) but the pasta went, and ds1 ate most of his.
The dc shared a strawberry sundae, DH declined pud but I had room for the Oreo cookie pie. Drinks were milk shakes for the dc, lemonade for DH and me.

~ How was the general ambience of the restaurant?
It got busier as the evening went on, but we didn't have to wait long for our food, it was a horrible wet, dank day but the pub was light and welcoming.

~ How knowledgeable were the staff serving you?
Very, Paul was our waiter and he was helpful and knowledgable but not too in our faces. He either went on a break or his shift finished partway through our meal as he wasn't there when we left, but other staff (who's names escape me) were good too.

~ What did your children think of the visit?
Ds1 liked the activity pack provided (ds2 a bit too young for it, but he did try and chew on the crayons several times), they ate what they liked from the food and ds1 was able to choose himself from the picture menu. By then end of the meal they were a little tired and fractious, but we had been there for over an hour and a half, and it was close to their bedtime.

~ What was the highlight of the visit?
Food quality and the staff being v helpful and friendly. Only having to pay less than £5 for the whole meal! Thanks mumsnet and table table.
