Nanny/Parent Groups

Hello all,

I will be starting a full time nanny position in Parson's Green from mid November looking after a delightful 17 month old boy. I have found that there is quite a lack of meet up groups for nannies or parents advertised on the internet. Can anyone shed some light? Of course when hiring a nanny it is financially annoying to also shell out for activity classes every day but if there are groups where people can get together and children socialise/play it would be fab. I'm happy to entertain by myself, go for walks, take him swimming, to museums, the park etc but we all understand the whole interaction with other children is of great benefit.

I have a full time nanny who looks after my 6 month old - she goes to Monkey Music in Putney on Tuesdays and Fulham Library on Mondays where there's a play group...but she's also found it hard to meet other nannys - I could put you in touch if you like? I know that there are tons of Nannys in Fulham but we haven't quite worked out how to tap into it yet - so maybe we should start something ourselves?

We have a 15 month old girl and we live not far from Parson's Green - I also have found limited mom/nanny groups and I'm sure both myself and our nanny would like to organize something. They were going to check out the library as well, maybe once you start we can coordinate?

I am in the same position with my 10 month old, so please let me know, as we would like to join a group or make one. I also have a nanny 1/2 days a week and am sure she would love some interaction too!

I have just started as a nanny for a little 6 month old ... Totally new to London as moved here from Manchester and also to nannying never done this before... I would love to meet other nannies and mums and hopefully make some friends.. Has anything been set up here now as discussed below..
