We've got a couple of suggestions!

Outside space - we recommended on Arnold Circus. The Boundary Estate has such a vibrant history, it always looks picturesque, and there's often live music in the bandstand!

Day Out - It doesn't last a whole day but it is a fun outing! We produce an interactive opera for babies (0-2 years old) called Musical Rumpus. It's free for adults and £5 for babies, and it's coming to Rich Mix on 11 Dec: www.spitalfieldsmusic.org.uk/whats-on/winter-festival-2013/musical-rumpus-mudlark-dances/

Places to shop - there are so many we could recommend here but Spitalfields Market is a favourite.

Best HIDDEN GEM: Stepney City Farm

Best COMMUNITY VENUES: Meath Gardens Children's Centre

Best FREE VISITOR ATTRACTIONS: Spitalfields Market, Riverside walk, Whitechapel Gallery

Best PLACES TO LIVE: Bethnal Green, Stepney, Mile End

Best PLACES TO SHOP: Roman Road (especially Snap), Brick Lane

We like Sailortown, it has an almost eerie atmosphere. But the recent Canary Wharf history is also fascinating for adults.
