Hello
Our first au pair has been with us for a month, and though she's getting on well in some ways and is brilliant with DD, her English was worse than we expected to start with, and is not improving much at all. She spends every evening on Skype with her friends at home and every weekend in town with her friends from home, and no time hanging out speaking English, except the 3 hours a day she spends with our 5yo. I'm not so worried about her feeling isolated, since she spends her weekends with old friends, but I do think some local au pair buddies might be helpful.
Does anyone have an au pair in the walthamstow/highams park/south Woodford area who might want to make some local au pair friends?
Or just any advice, really, since she's the first AP we've had.
