I'm going on a girls'* night out this weekend in Edinburgh; we are having afternoon tea and then planning to go out for cocktails somewhere around George Street. There is a bewildering array of bars there, can anyone recommend some nice ones? Also the girl organizing has rashly not booked anywhere to eat apart from the tea-- for those of us who are going to require more than a finger sandwich and a scone to sustain us, is there anywhere around there that could accommodate a group for a meal at short notice? Or is that wishful thinking in Edinburgh on a Saturday night?
*or whatever you call it when you're 42. Most of the others are 20-30 though.
