OK, Leicestershire Mumsnetters!

Is anyone still out there?! Mumsnet have just found a couple of local editors for the Mumsnet Leicestershire pages (I'm one of them). We're going to work hard on getting more listings, offers, info and talk going on the local pages. We'll be trying to arrange local meet-ups and looking for local ambassadors. We'd love people to help us out...

We're trying to answer questions, and introduce ourselves, on some of the other discussions too, so apologies if this is now the second or third time you've heard from us!

We'll be thinking of ways to get the talkboards moving a bit. Hmm - maybe think of a contentious Leicestershire-based topic? Something to do with Red Leicester cheese and Melton Mowbray pork pies? Or why every attraction I start to list in Leicestershire turns out to have crept over the boundary into a neighbouring county?

Hmm....well, they don't currently add a great deal in Leicestershire! But they do in some other areas, where people use them to ask questions about specific schools, areas to live, hospitals, etc. The Leicestershire site is still in its infancy, really....but growing steadily. And we do have loads of good listings. And our facebook page is really quite funny. And I hope the meet-ups will help anyone who's feeling a bit isolated make a new friend.

Good. Glad you like it! There's a link in the top right-hand corner to get to the local facebook page. To be honest, the last few posts wouldn't have you laughing out loud, but on the whole, it's good fun. Come and sign up! Or just lurk, of course. We're on twitter too - you can see that in the bottom-right-hand corner.
So....do you like Hinckley? Does it lend itself to barefootedness particularly well?
