Commuting into Leeds from Otley and Boston Spa areas

Hi, looking at possibly moving to Leeds area over next few months, DH wants to commute into the centre from wherever we live by public transport, anyone got experience of traveling in from Otley or Boston Spa? Know they don't have train stations so would mean either bus or bus/train, wondering if that makes it a long journey and a bit less reliable?

Also does anyone know what these areas are like for young families, are they a good place to be for schools, playgrounds, groups etc? We need to get up and have a proper look really but waiting till job confirmed. Thanks! x

Otley is fantastic, have friends who commute but not into centre of Leeds, It's a very busy spot for families and there is a lot going on. Lovely park by the river with ducks and swans and proper coffee!

What about Yeadon? It's similar to Otley, has lots of families and good local amenities but there's Guiseley train station within walking distance.
