Nick Clegg has said that all infant children will from next September received free school meals. What do you think? A good idea or not? Is the food good enough where you are or would you carry on with packed lunches?

The food is lovely and my two already have school dinners 4 days a week (sandwiches the other day so they can have a turn at sitting with their friends who only take packed lunches).

I think that free school dinners for infants are a great idea - it will make it easier for schools to provide good food as there will be more economies of scale if there is a higher uptake for school dinners. And on a personal level it will save us a few pounds which will be very much appreciated.
